BACKGROUND
I lived and worked with the Acholi people in the Gulu region of Uganda from 2013 to 2015. Working mainly with St. Mary’s Lacor Hospital and St. Jude’s Children’s Home, I found a beautiful and deep well of unguarded daily life. My hope is to illuminate the reality of these people and this place—from times of tremendous hardship, to seemingly mundane daily routines, to joyous celebration.
